Program Description

Do you ever look around you and think of creative ways that you could improve a park, a building, or a process in your community? If so, we would love for you to join us and work on your own independent project based in your community. You will learn to draw, use design programs to visualize your ideas, and learn how to effectively communicate them. Through this experience you will also learn about social and environmental issues facing the communities that surround you.

At the Hideo Sasaki Foundation we partner with Sasaki, one of the most multi-disciplinary design firms in the industry, to introduce students to the powerful and impactful world of design. Through a six-week paid internship, students are guided through a design project by experts in architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and much more to gain an understanding of the industry and what it's like to work on a collaborative design project.

Through the program you will be able to:
Earn $16.25 per hour while you learn
Build up your resume
Meet new people and make new friends
Explore Boston and surrounding areas
Get to know experts in the field of architecture, urban planning, and landscape design
Learn new skills
Discover new career options
Design a project with a team of youth and design professionals.
