At the Hideo Sasaki Foundation we partner with Sasaki, one of the most multi-disciplinary design firms in the industry, to introduce students to the powerful and impactful world of design. Through a six-week paid internship students are guided through a design project by experts in architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and much more to gain an understanding of the industry and what it's like to work on a collaborative design project. Through the program you will be able to:

Design a project with a team of youth and design professionals Program Details:
The internship will take place in person at Sasaki's new office at 110 Chauncy Street in downtown Boston. This year SEED has two tracks. SEED Introduction is for students with no experience in design who are wanting to explore the fields of architecture, planning and urban design, and landscape architecture. SEED Advanced is for students who have more experience or have gone through SEED already. Please be sure to specify which level you are applying for. The experience will consist of hands-on design learning, field trips to local design projects, and presenting to mentors.
Hiring Process:
Applications open: February 20 through April 26, 2024
Interviews: May 5 through May 9, 2024
Final decision: by May 17, 2024
Internship Schedule:
Dates: July 8through August 16, 2024
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Hours: 30 hours/week
Rate: $16.25/hour
